On Hold Equipment

On Hold Equipment has become easier to use, more reliable, and last longer than ever, all while the cost has continued to decline.  That makes the choosing the digital player that plays your messages on hold an easy decision.

On Hold Equipment has evolved

In the past, messages on hold have played on a wide variety of different on hold systems: the earliest systems played “carts” similar to 8-track cartridges.  Then came a long list of cassette players (auto reverse and “endless loop” players), and CD players.

That was followed by the new digital on hold equipment, each with a different technology to load them: cassettes, CDs, and over telephone lines.  The newest on hold systems utilizes an mp3 file that can be loaded either over the internet, from a usb drive, or with a usb cable from your computer.  Since most on hold players offers the same quality, convenience is the key factor, so its easier to load up-to-date messages on a regular schedule.
