Partner System Features can help you accomplish more on every call

The AT&T Partner System is one of the most popular “war horse” phone systems in America.  Partner System Features make this phone system a real tool for businesses. Designed for small companies, it comes with most of the features that businesses need, including multiple lines, intercom, speed dial, caller ID, and the ability to have music or a message on hold.

According to Business Telephone.com, “There may be phone systems on the market with more capabilities, but these other phone systems cannot compete with an AT&T Partner System based on price and quality.” The Partner System is a basic, reliable communications tool.  There aren’t a lot of features that are considered “bells and whistles” any more, but the features on these reliable phone systems are the ones we all use, every day.

 Bonus Partner System Features

One of the overlooked options on the Partner System is the ability to give your callers more than just music on hold.  The Partner System has a MOH jack that lets you play marketing messages on hold.  A well designed on hold message lets you inform your caller about your products and services, and educate them about what makes you different from your competition.

Partner System Features include Music on hold

Hooking up a message on hold on your Partner System is easy.  Simply locate the MOH (Music on hold, or Message on hold) jack.  Its in the Control Box that’s mounted to the wall in a back closet or basement.  The typical Partner system is a “taupe” colored vertical box with two or more “vertical” cards inside.  To reach the cards, gently tip the cover of the control box up.  Here’s a picture of a Partner System that we recently installed Informer Messages on hold on for a New York City, NY Medical office.

The system was pretty old, but working like new. In fact, this New   York medical office had never had a problem with their phones in over 15 years.

Locate the MOH jack, shown by the arrow.  The jack lets you plug an RCA (or Phono) plug into it.  We always use digital on hold equipment, to keep our clients’ messages on hold sounding great.  They also make it easy to change the on hold message when they’re updated with new information.
