OHP 8000 Programming: it’s time to change your messages
The OHP makes it easy to update your messages. Why would you want to do that? We’ll get back to that in a minute, but here are the basic steps to program your messages
- Find the OHP 8000. It’s connected to your telephone system (not to a phone). The PBX box for your phones is usually located in a back room, a closet, or a basement. It’s usually where all your wires (internet, security, telephone) are.
- Get the usb drive from your player, and insert it in the usb slot of this computer
- Left click on your start button, and click on Computer. Find the usb drive you just inserted (if you can’t figure out which one it is, remove it from the slot and reinsert. It will disappear and reappear)
- Double click on the usb drive: there’s only one file on it: an mp3 file. Format the USB drive
- Right Click on the mp3 file attached to this email, and click Save As and specify the empty usb drive Replace the stick in the digital player. When it’s completely inserted your messages will be playing.
- Adjust the volume with the volume control knob on the rear of the unit.
- You can monitor the message by pressing the “Speaker” button on the rear of the unit.
Why update your messages?
