Fortivoice music on hold: System Upgrade Available

FortiVoice is the enterprise-grade unified communications solution that gives you the option to upgrade your Fortivoice Music on hold feature with custom messaging about your business.  This option was first introduced on Version 5.3.  All current Fortivoice systems can be programmed with Messages on hold.

Loading your messages onto your Fortivoice system

Loading your messages has been simplified for the end user, as described in your Fortivoice user documentation

Uploading or recording sound files

  1. Go to Phone System > Audio > Prompt
  2. Click New
  3. Enter a File Name
  4. Select a file Type (Prompt Sound File or Music on Hold)
  5. For Voice language, you have two options (Upload or Record)
  6. To upload a sound file:
  7. Select a .wav file
  8. Click upload
  9. Select a file
  10. Click Open

Your Messages on hold

Messages on hold replace the default music with information about your business.  They’re a marketing tool that delivers targeted information to a specific group: everyone who calls.  They can be custom written with each of your caller groups in mind, giving them timely information about your products and services, product uses, and answers to frequently asked questions.
